Baystone
Why Choose Us

Onyx is not a stone to buy from a photo. The bands, the tone and the way light moves through the slab all change from piece to piece. Bay Stone Depot keeps natural stone on the rack in San Jose so you can see Onice Bianco in person, ask questions of a team that handles these slabs every day, and choose the exact slab that goes into your project.
We show you the real slabs, answer plainly, and let the stone make the case for itself.

Our Process
Visit the San Jose yard during opening hours. Photos do not capture onyx - stand in front of the slabs and see how the white bands read in person.
Tell our team where the stone will go. The right slab, thickness and finish depend on whether it is a backlit feature, a vanity or an accent panel.
Compare the Onice Bianco slabs on the rack. If bookmatched pairs matter for your project, we can show you which slabs work together.
Once you have picked your slab, we prepare a quote. Ask us about sealing and care so the stone stays looking the way it did in the yard.
FAQ
Still have a question?
We're ready to help. Reach out and a real person will get back to you.
Get in touchYes, and we recommend it. Onyx varies slab to slab, so come to the San Jose showroom, look at the actual pieces and pick the one you want.
Onyx is softer and more delicate than granite or quartzite. It can work on low-use surfaces like vanities and bar tops. Tell us your application and we will give you a straight answer about where it fits.
Both are natural stones, but onyx is translucent and often banded, so it can be backlit and glows when light passes through. Marble is not translucent and is generally harder-wearing.
Seal it and treat it gently - avoid harsh cleaners and expect it to need more care than granite. We walk every buyer through care before the stone leaves the yard.
Bookmatched pairs can line up the veining across adjacent panels. Come in and we can show you which Onice Bianco slabs pair well together.
